Top 10 Tracks For September
As DJ’s we are always challenged with finding the right songs. We are also challenged with the time that it takes to filter thru the RIDICULOUS amount of music that’s created and distributed regularly. As new artists, it’s even more challenging to have your own music production highlighted or featured in all of the places to find music. The electronic music scene is truly worldwide, and has been influenced by people all over the world contributing creatively. We are learning more each day! Music isn’t like it used to be, even in terms of how we describe it. Music genres are different. They’ve either crossed over and melded with other genres, or are now called something entirely different altogether. It can get confusing, even for us as music-makers, and this stuff is hard to keep up with.
With all of these changes happening so fast and so frequently, it’s cool to see online music stores like Traxsource help us all out. Distributors like them, really make an effort to keep the music & the culture a primary focal point to ensure small guys like us can share our music and be heard. Recently, we dropped our latest EP titled, “Assorted Flavors.” Knowing that Traxsource was the marquee online music shop for house music, we were hoping that they would pick up our project and make it available on their site. Thankfully, the LORD provided a way for us, and that project is now available on Traxsource AND BeatPort, through our new music distributor called iMusician.
The cool thing is that, platforms like Traxsource share their platform with guys like us, so that, we can share our own music, and also promote the music other people are making that inspire us. As DJ’s we’re constantly looking to share new music with folks, move people with classics, and help out artist like ourselves, that are unknown, but really talented. It used to be that we only had our DJ sets and the track lists we provided to share these things. Not anymore! Now, retailers like Traxsource provide platforms for us to share our music as well as our favorite music that others are making, via playlists. Pretty cool, right?

So, we’ve created a Top 10 list for us for the month of September. The cooler thing is that, Traxsource actually featured our list on the front page of their Lounge/Chill Out genre! Thanks for the love Traxsource! Check the chart our here, and see what we’re feelin’ this month, which you’ll likely hear in some upcoming sets. But don’t wait for us to play this stuff. Support great music and pick this stuff up yourself.
